Scottish Water case study
By utilising our expertise in L&D video design, we created a series of short videos to provide additional support with training.
The client
Scottish Water is a not-for-profit organisation that looks after Scotland's most precious natural resource. They’re trusted to care for the water on which Scotland depends and are proud of the service they provide.
Along with providing water to millions of people every day, the organisation has an impressive investment strategy that aims to deliver over £6bn of maintenance and improvements to Scotland’s water and wastewater infrastructure along with continuing to provide service excellence, achieving net zero emissions by 2027 and delivering value and financial sustainability.

The challenge
Scottish Water delivers a wide range of internal training across departments, but needed to improve how effectively key messages landed across their teams. With traditional written content often not hitting the mark, they recognised the need for a more engaging, accessible format.
They also wanted to support broader internal campaigns, including behavioural messaging and seasonal operational themes. These messages needed to resonate at all levels of the organisation - from contact centre staff to frontline teams.
Consistency and brand alignment were crucial. Training content had to reflect Scottish Water’s values while also being easy to access, revisit, and reuse long after initial launch.
Our task
-
Deliver consistent training across a large, diverse workforce
-
Help the workforce feel confident in their roles
-
Support wider internal campaigns through accessible, on-brand content
-
Communicate topical information quickly and effectively
-
Make training content easy to revisit and available on demand
The solution
Our solution was to turn key internal messages and training topics into a series of succinct, on-brand videos that were easy to understand, accessible across departments, and reflective of Scottish Water’s tone of voice.
The videos featured clear and practical messaging designed to support both structured learning and broader awareness campaigns. The content needed to be easily embedded into their internal social media and training platforms efficiently, allowing employees to revisit the material at their own pace, in their own time.
“The videos produced by Premier CX have become a valuable asset in our training toolkit. They not only reflect our brand and ethos but also help us deliver key messages in a clear, engaging, and accessible way.”
The results
-
Videos shared on internal platforms accessible to over 4,500 employees.
-
Created a series of videos to support team engagement sessions.
-
Positive feedback from staff, senior leadership, and alliance partners.
-
Service with Respect video supported a larger campaign.
-
All content is created to be accessible and aligned to Scottish Water’s brand and values.
